Important Caribbean Poker Playing Rules

In playing Caribbean poker, there are important rules to be observed.

Players may only play and bet on one hand per game. Playing multiple hands and betting on them is not allowed in Caribbean poker games. These games are fast and pre-wagered and thus playing multiple hands will be useless and a waste. Bets in Caribbean poker are decided and placed first before we can think of any hand to play because cards are dealt only after all the bets are in place.

Caribbean poker has a special feature in wagering for a jackpot. The jackpot is open to all players and is played for a dollar bet. We win the jackpot by a flush or anything higher. But the thing to remember with this jackpot play is that the dollar wager must be inseretd by the dealer into the official slot and the players position in the slot should be lighted up to indicate official entry into the jackpot. The player is wholly responsible for ensuring all these.

It is important for the secrecy of the hand to be kept until showdown. Players should not make any hint or communication with anyone involved in the game about the player's hand, or anybody else's hand for that matter, especially not to the dealer—be it in the form of a bluff or any tactic used in the game. There should be absolutely no mention of any hand, whatsoever. Penalty will be forfeiture of the hand played.

Players should be aware of the number of cards dealt them. They must be alert and honest when there is a lack or excess of cards dealt them. If there should be any discrepancy in the number of cards dealt a player, that player's hand will be disqualified. If the dealer's hand should be found lacking a card, another card will be dealt the dealer. If there should arise anymore discrepancy in the dealer's hand, all hands should be surrendered for reshuffling and re-dealing.

The dealer should always have a visual of all hands. After studying their hands, players should put them back on the table face down and refrain from touching them again. Cards dealt must not be put in any place where the dealer cannot see them. If any hole card is accidentally exposed before bets are settled, all hands should be surrendered.

In all the above Caribbean poker ruling, the table or casino supervisor's decisions prevail. These rules are strictly observed in Caribbean poker games.
