Progressive Jackpots in Caribbean Stud Poker

At a semi-circle poker table, about 3 to 5 poker players play against the dealer. They are dealt 5 cards each. One of their aims is to win the exciting and hefty caribbean stud poker jackpot.

This poker "progressive" jackpot is featured on a computerized board for all to see. Gamblers, not only in the casino, but from other casinos linked with the casino they're in, can take part in this jackpot. The more players involved the bigger the jackpot. Players are tracked down through a layout. Any player who wants to join in the contest for the jackpot would simply bet a dollar. This is aside from the bets for Ante and the main bet for the Caribbean stud poker.

Bets are placed first before any card can be dealt. So, by relying on our luck, we choose a certain bet amount to put on the Ante box. We also decide this time whether to join the jackpot prize or not. If we do, we place chips worth $1, and the dealer puts in a $1 coin in the progressive jackpot. Once the jackpot bet is placed our slot on the computerized board gets lighted up to show all that we're in the contest for the progressive jackpot.

Then after the best are all in place, the play begins. The dealer deals 5 cards each player at the table after which the dealer also deals 5 cards to himself—with one card faced up for everyone to see. The cards dealt players are all facing down. After we study our 5-card hand, we should decide if we're going to play or fold it. If we decide to fold we forfeit ourselves of our Ante bet. If we joined the jackpot, we lose that, too.

Playing the hand means we place a new bet in the bet box, the amount of which should be two times more than what we put in the Ante. In Caribbean stud poker, this is the "call." Then the dealer shows all his cards. The dealer must have an AK or something higher. If not, we win two times our Ante bet, regardless of what hand we have. The jackpot bet is returned to us. If the dealer gets AK or higher, our hand must beat the hand to win. The jackpot is won if our dealt hand results to a flush or something higher.

Caribbean stud poker is simple but very profitable poker game to play.
